Advice for future interns
To get a placement, reach out to every possible person and let them know you need it urgently. Start informing them early enough and always check with them. Give them reasons to help you, build your portfolio, have required resources available at all times. Practice aptitude tests as early as possible.

How they got the internship
I attended the NAPE Conference in 2023, where I visited company booths, including SLB's. I met their recruiting HR, asked questions, and was provided official application details (careers.slb.com). I applied in November, got a response in December, and wrote the aptitude exam in January. I received my offer letter after passing the exam.
Advice for future interns
Apply early and to multiple companies to increase your chances. Speak to people who you believe can help. As an intern, aim to stand out, be nice, approachable, professional, and network with everyone.

How they got the internship
I got in via the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
Advice for future interns
You could earn placement there if you go yourself and follow instructions for proper registration into the ministry. You could go just twice weekly, but they don’t pay stipends/salary. Payments are possible after each EIA exercise.

How they got the internship
I got the HR’s email at the last NAPE conference and sent multiple emails to the company.
Advice for future interns
If you have a desired company, never be shy to send multiple emails. The worst they can say is no, but you ensure they don’t miss your application.

How they got the internship
I got the internship through an acquaintance.
Advice for future interns
Look for a place where you can learn and get hands-on experience. Focus on where your research interest lies. If I hadn’t gotten DPR, my next option was a geophysical and geotechnical company.
